Cause
- Accumulation of organic contaminants;
- High suspended particles;
- high pH;
- Total alkalinity too high;
- Hardness too high;
- Poor filtration;
- High dissolved solids content;
- Total alkalinity too low.
Solution
- Shock treatment;
- Add the Lightener;
- Add pH Reducer until you reach 7.2 to 7.6;
- Add Muriatic Acid until you reach 80 to 150 ppm;
- Remove some water, or if the problem is with well water, add "Tarte Secure". Alternatively, add descaling agent, circulate with our Water Softener chemical until the hardness reaches 150 to 280 ppm;
- Dirty filter, clean with cartridge cleaner;
- Empty the spa and refill it;
- Add alkalinity.
