Rubber expansion plugs with stainless steel bolts, washers, and large plastic wing nuts safely seal off in‑ground plumbing lines during freezing conditions. Used to plug pool pipes after blowing out lines, they prevent water from entering plumbing and causing freeze damage. These heavy‑duty winterizing plugs feature non‑corrosive construction with nylon, stainless steel, and high‑quality rubber. The wing‑nut design offers easier turning and 50% greater tightening power compared to standard plugs.

These plugs—also called expansion plugs, freeze plugs, rubber plugs, hole plugs, pipe plugs, or pool plugs—quickly seal plumbing lines such as returns, skimmers, and cleaner lines to prevent freeze damage. Simply screw or tighten the plugs into all inlets after blowing out the lines.
