Club Piscine opened its first store in Quebec in 1991. Its founder, Robert Aumont, had been active in the pool industry since 1967. It was during a trip to Florida in December 1990 that he had the idea of creating the Club Piscine banner. Inspired by his visit to a brand-new warehouse-store concept, he returned to Quebec in January 1991 with a clear vision: to offer Quebecers an innovative concept combining pools and outdoor accessories.
Wishing to extend its store activities beyond the summer season, Club Piscine officially became Club Piscine Super Fitness in 2004, integrating a range of fitness equipment. This diversification established Club Piscine as the largest fitness equipment retailer in Quebec. In 2019, the company further expands its offering by adding a selection of top-brand barbecues, reinforcing its status as Quebec's leading outdoor equipment retailer.
As the company approaches its 35th anniversary, Club Piscine Super Fitness is returning to its roots and rebranding itself simply as Club Piscine. This change marks a new era for the company, which is modernizing its image and redefining the customer experience.
Firmly rooted in the hearts of Quebecers, the company is more than ever asserting its role as an expert in the art of outdoor living. With over 2,500 employees and a network of 40 franchised stores, Club Piscine is now the largest retailer of pools, garden furniture, barbecues, spas and fitness equipment in Quebec.
