The popular expression « An apple a day keeps the doctor away » might not be completely wrong!
A study presented at the «Experimental Biology Conference» in Washington shows that eating 75 g of apple every day can lower your bad cholesterol and upper your good one. Thus, it reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. This study also demonstrates a low blood pressure and loss of weight on the subjects.
What’s an apple made of?
An apple is made of 80% water, 13% carbohydrates, 2.5% fibers and a small rate of protein and fat. It also has an high quantity of vitamin C, calcium, vitamin B1, B2, PP, B5, B6, B9, E and provitamin A. A 150g apple will bring you between 60 and 80 kilocalories and between 18 and 20g of carbohydrates.
An apple for the training?
