Cause

• High concentration of organic contaminants that absorb disinfectants;

• Ineffective test reagents;

• Unbalanced alkalinity and/or pH.

Reason

• Add sanitizer until levels reach the desired range (lithium, chlorine, bromine);

• Replace at least once a year, keep cool and away from the sun;

• First adjust alkalinity to between 80 and 150 ppm, then adjust the pH to betweem 7.2 and 7.6 ppm.
